The manufacturing facility produces pre-engineered components specifically designed for each individual house. These include wall panel framing (interior and exterior), roof truss framing, pre-built interior stairs, precut floor joists, and other components.

The exterior and interior walls are assembled in sections, with window and door openings framed in, and with the exterior wall sheathing applied to all exterior walls at the factory.

For some panelized manufacturers, their involvement in the construction of the home is finished when the materials are delivered, with all field work being completed by the general contractor. Other manufacturers provide a crane and a “set crew” to work alongside the general contractor in getting the home framed in. There are even some panelized manufacturers who will supply all necessary labor to complete the home.

The panelized homes are built to meet the local building codes of where they are sited.
